Dear eBay,

You do not need a credit card number from me in order to change my e-mail address. All you need to do is e-mail the old address with a link authorizing the change. That’s what everyone else does and it works fine.

I do appreciate that I should not worry, as you’ll keep my information safe.

Just like TJX did when they lost 45.7 MILLION credit card numbers over two years.

Anyway, why don’t you just send me your credit card number first, just as a sign of trust and we’ll see how it goes.
