A company called America Talks Back has recently started to send me political spam. That is, I’ve never subscribed to any of their news (in fact, they’re sending it to an address that I’ve never given out anywhere at any time) and I’ve started to receive key “intelligence briefings” from them.
The problem is that the so-called news is almost entirely right-wing propaganda that is long on emotion and short on fact.
I don’t know for sure who is swayed by such nonsense, but I bet it’s effective. After all, someone must be buying those hair products sold on late night television and someone must be forking over $10,000 to the son of the dead king of some small African country in order to help them launder ten million dollars from which they will be paid two million for their oh-so-valuable time.
Surprising that it’s a right wing group sending it? Well, no, not to me.
