I particularly like the feature where it will send me an SMS with my search results.

Put down that credit card

Dear eBay,
You do not need a credit card number from me in order to change my e-mail address. All you need to do is e-mail the old address with a link authorizing the change. That’s what everyone else does and it works fine.
